Acid blockers, good?

Ha!  A “parody” of what happens when a woman goes to the doctor to discussing getting off her acid blocker medication.  The truth is that the majority of people with acid reflux actually need more stomach acid to help break down the food.  It comes back up (reflux) because it is sitting in the stomach unable to be broken down.  This could be do to overeating, eating the wrong foods (or more likely “non-foods”), or being in a constant low level state of stress.  When the sympathetic (fight or flight) side of the nervous system is active, the parasympathetic (rest and digest) side of the nervous system gets turned off.  And let’s face it, how many of us are nice and relaxed throughout the day, taking plenty of time to sit and eat a peaceful meal?  Need help sorting it all out?  I am here to help.  Contact me today to discuss how to eat, sleep, move and feel better. read more
